Confirm the information you have about the charity you're knitting for is up to date. For example: how many children, their ages, and of course, their current address. It is advisable to establish a contact person at the charity for which you are knitting.
Bear in mind the culture, religion and customs when you select a color or pattern for your project.
Ask your contact at the charity if they have special wishes. In some places mittens are needed and in others hats. Also, ask if they have a color they particularly like.
Taking pictures while you’re working on your project is a great thing to do. Please send the children photos, and even letters, with your knitted gifts. We know for sure they love it!! Also include your address in the package you send, so the children can write back to you. Pictures on the blogsite are also greatly appreciated.
